James Andrews, MD, repaired a fracture in the right elbow of Tampa Bay Rays pitching prospect Brent Honeywell, MLB.com reports.

What you should know:

1. Mr. Honeywell fractured the bone while throwing a bullpen session in Port Charlotte, Fla., June 8.

2. Mr. Honeywell was rehabilitating from a 2018 Tommy John surgery. This injury did not damage Mr. Honeywell's repaired ulnar collateral ligament, MLBTradeRumors.com reports.

3. Dr. Andrews is a founding partner of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He is one of the leading orthopedic surgeons in the world, and his center is internationally recognized for its sports medicine treatments.
