From a surgeon joining a practice with his wife to where surgeons want to practice abroad, here are seven spine surgeons making the news this week:

In November, Azedine Medhkour, MD, became chief of neurosurgery at WVU Medicine's Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital.

Don Park, MD, vice chair of quality and safety at UCLA's orthopedic surgery department, completed the first procedure with SeaSpine's Admiral anterior cervical plating system.

Neel P. Shah, MD, joined Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Sports and Spine Center along with his wife Puja Shah, MD, an anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist.

Spinal neurosurgeon Ziev Moses, MD, joined Milford (Mass.) Regional Medical Center.

Three spine surgeons shared the other countries where they'd like to practice.
