Spine group signs agreement with New York public employee health insurance plan

Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Neurological Surgery, P.C. reached an agreement to go in network with The Empire Plan, part of New York's insurance program for public employees, The Island Now reports.

What you should know:

1. The Empire Plan is a health insurance program for New York public employees, administered by the New York State Department of Civil Service.

2. The Empire Plan touts a network of more than 1.2 million people.

3. Neurological Surgery is one of the largest private neurosurgical groups in the U.S., with six Long Island, N.Y., locations.
