Here are eight spine surgeons and neurosurgeons who joined new organizations, moved locations or received promotions in December 2019.

East Lansing-based Michigan State University College of Human Medicine launched a neurosurgery division with Teck Soo, MD, spearheading the department.

St. Louis-based Washington University School of Medicine named Gregory Zipfel, MD, the Ralph G. Dacey Distinguished Professor of Neurological Surgery.

Michael Smith, MD, a neurosurgeon, and Grigoriy Arutyunyan, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon, joined Rothman Orthopaedics locations in Manhattan.

Lali Sekhon, MD, PhD, joined Reno (Nev.) Orthopedic Clinic.

Thomas Mroz, MD, was appointed chair of the Orthopaedic & Rheumatologic Institute at Cleveland Clinic.

Janesville, Wis.-based Mercyhealth onboarded neurosurgeons Muhammad Janjua, MD, and Artur Szymczak, MD.
