Medical device company Orthofix and orthopedic technology company SeaSpine named John Bostjancic the CFO of their new combined company.

Mr. Bostjancic currently serves as SeaSpine's CFO and chief operating officer, roles he has held since 2015 and 2022, respectively, according to a Nov. 18 news release from the company. Since entering the healthcare industry in 1999, he has held leadership positions at companies including Integra Life Sciences and Merck & Co.

"John has been a key leader of SeaSpine dating back to the successful spin-out of the organization in 2015," Keith Valentine, president and CEO of SeaSpine, said in the release. "I am confident his background and experience in the medical device industry coupled with his cultural influence will benefit the newly combined company as we continue to grow."

Orthofix and SeaSpine's merger is set to close in the first quarter of 2023.
