Stryker launches Monterey ALIF system

Spinal Tech

Stryker launched its Monterey AL Interbody System for anterior lumbar interbody fusion, the devicemaker said Oct. 4.

Monterey AL is a standalone interbody fusion product made of solid and porous structures, according to a news release. The device allows surgeons to make deeper and narrower cage footprints and uses "tritanium" — a novel 3D-printed, porous titanium material designed by the company for bone in-growth.

"Monterey AL combines more than 20 years of expertise in the creation of porous materials using additive manufacturing with innovative implants and instruments that are designed to give surgeons the flexibility to use our system without having to alter their preferred technique," Robbie Robinson, president of Stryker's  spine division, said in the release.
