Think Surgical's new hire, Study validates NuVasive device and more: 5 device company notes

Centinel Spine's latest product launch and four more updates from spine and orthopedic medtech companies since July 20:

1. Spineway acquired France-based Spine Innovations, a company specializing in cervical and lumbar disc prostheses.

2. NuVasive's porous interbody implant and synthetic bone graft substitutes are a cost-effective option for later lumbar interbody fusions, a study in the Journal of Neurosurgery found.

3. Centinel Spine launched its Fortos-C anterior cervical plating system.

4. Parikshit "Park" Mehendale joined Think Surgical as its new vice president of operations.

5. Michael Park, MD, PhD, and Rohan Lall, MD, completed the fifth procedure using SynerFuse's spine implant as part of a proof-of-concept study combining spinal fusion with the implant of a neurostimulator.
