9 hospitals, ASCs investing in spine robots

In the past month, Becker's Spine Review has reported on nine hospitals and surgery centers that have installed spine robots:

1. Bowling Green, Ky.-based Med Center Health purchased an ExcelsiusGPS robot.

2. Medical City Fort Worth (Texas) began offering robotic spine surgery with the ExcelsiusGPS.

3. Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery performed its first surgery with the Globus Spine 1.1 Interbody Solutions System.

4. Cincinnati-based Mayfield Spine Surgery Center acquired a Mazor X Stealth Edition.

5. Wichita, Kan.-based Wesley Medical Center is offering robotic spine surgery with the Mazor X Stealth Edition.

6. Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, N.C., added an ExcelsiusGPS robot.

7. Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho, implemented the ExcelsiusGPS Interbody Solutions platform.

8-9. MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., installed the Cirq robotic arm.
