Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cayuga Health purchased a fourth-generation da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system from Intuitive Surgical, local radio station X 101 reports.
The surgical robot is designed to assist hospital surgeons in minimally invasive procedures and help the operating room function more efficiently.
The hospital will use the robot for an array of procedures, including hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction and anti-reflux surgery.
