Here are four orthopedic devices and implants earning FDA clearances since Sept. 13:

1. Ventris Medical's Amplify synthetic bone graft putty earned FDA 510(k) clearance. Amplify can be used on its own or with autograft bone as a bone graft extender

2. The FDA gave Conformis' Actera hip system 510(k) clearance. Actera uses a tri-taper femur system stem for direct anterior approach total hip replacements

3. Zimmer Biomet's Identity shoulder system received FDA clearance. The convertible system is used for anatomic, reverse and revision shoulder replacement.

4. Stryker's first bone tumor ablation system with microinfusion technology earned FDA clearance. The OptaBlade system optimizes all aspects of the bone ablation procedure.
