1 spine, 5 orthopedic surgeons named to medtech advisory board

Eleven physicians, including one spine surgeon and five orthopedic surgeons, were appointed to the medical advisory board of Irrimax Corp., developer of the Irrisept wound debridement and cleansing system.

Irrisept is used by more than 2,500 U.S. hospitals and will be distributed in over 10 countries by the end of the year, the company said in a July 6 news release. 

Eleven physicians named to Irrimax's advisory board:

- Garrick Cason, MD. Spine surgeon at the Comprehensive Spine Institute (Chattanooga, Tenn.)

- Hans Van Lancker, MD. Orthopedic surgeon at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center (Brighton, Mass.)

- Antonia Chen, MD. Orthopedic surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston)

- Ian Weber, MD. Orthopedic surgeon at Cornerstone Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (Westminster, Colo.)

- Paul Naylor, MD. Orthopedic surgeon at Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic (Knoxville)

- Calvin Rushing, DPM. Podiatric surgeon at Dallas Orthopedic and Shoulder Institute

- Philip Corvo, MD. General surgeon at St. Mary's Hospital (Waterbury, Conn.)

- Mohsin Soliman, MD. General surgeon at Menorah Medical Center (Overland Park, Kan.)

- Edward Karpman, MD. Urologist at El Camino Hospital (Mountain View, Calif.)

- Laurence Levine, MD. Urologist at Rush University Medical Center (Chicago)

- Ian Valerio, MD. Plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)
