Orthopedic surgeon named medical honoree for 2021 Walk to Cure Arthritis in Georgia

Orthopedic surgeon Matthew Levine, DO, of Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics has been named the medical honoree of the Arthritis Foundation's 2021 Walk to Cure Arthritis Georgia, according to a May 5 release. 

The annual event will take place virtually on May 15. The goal is for participants to walk a total of 54 million steps in honor of the 54 million Americans who struggle with arthritis. 

Dr. Levine specializes in reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee, anterior approach total hip replacement, robotic partial knee replacement, and outpatient knee and hip replacement. 

"It is an honor to be recognized by the Arthritis Foundation, an organization that I admire for their commitment to education, research and to making the lives of millions of people better through their important work," Dr. Levine said. 

Resurgens Orthopaedics has 24 offices in the Atlanta area and more than 100 physicians.
