Dr. Alejandro Badia, OrthoNOW update app to facilitate patient care

OrthoNOW recently updated its mobile app to offer improved convenience and efficiency to patients seeking orthopedic care, according to Alejandro Badia, MD, founder and CMO of the company.

Three things to know:

1. The app enables patients to choose a clinic, order rideshares via Uber or Lyft and notifies medical teams of their arrival.

2. OrthoNOW, a network of orthopedic immediate care centers in South Florida, updated the platform to facilitate virtual appointments and allow patients to share photos of their injuries with clinicians, so they can monitor their progress.

3. Dr. Badia is an orthopedic surgeon and founder of Badia Hand to Shoulder Center in Doral, Fla.
