Here are five orthopedic surgeons making the news this week:

William Hozack, MD, spoke to Becker's about value-based care and bundled payment initiatives at Rothman Orthopaedics in Philadelphia and ValueHealth, a privately-held digital healthcare partner.

Sanuwave Health appointed Tom Price, MD, to its board of directors. Dr. Price has more than 30 years of experience in the medical field and previously served as the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Katie Bartush, MD, and Marissa Jamieson, MD, became the first women to join the foot and ankle fellowship program at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo.

Bonnie Mason, MD, founder and former executive director of nonprofit company Nth Dimensions, spoke to Becker's about addressing the lack of female minority physicians in orthopedics.
