San Diego hospital's orthopedics department scores 97% patient satisfaction

Naval Medical Center San Diego's orthopedic surgery department was among the facility's top performer's during fiscal year 2019, reports DVIDS.

Three things to know:

1. The department scored a 97 percent overall satisfaction rating from the Joint Outpatient Experience Survey, up from 94 from the prior year.

2. More than 43,000 outpatient clinic visits were reported during fiscal year 2019.

3. The department offers orthopedic residency programs for medical officers and provides clinical and surgical services for active duty Navy and Marine Corps personnel and other federal organizations.
