4 hospitals investing in new orthopedic facilities

Here are four hospitals that opened or announced new orthopedic facilities in the past month.

Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital in Nassau Bay, Texas, will begin construction on a $40 million orthopedic medical office building in January 2020. HMCLH is one of seven community hospitals operated by Houston Methodist. It aims to add up to 40 physicians in the coming years.

Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio, broke ground on a $70 million Orthopedic and Robotic Surgery Center Oct. 23. The hospital, operated by Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Health System, is building the center to increase access to orthopedic surgical options.

Osage, Iowa-based Mitchell County Regional Health Center is expanding its surgical department. The $4.5 million project will revamp the outpatient surgery department, adding a second OR, recovery rooms and outpatient surgery rooms. The expansion is set to be completed in the summer of 2020.

UH Broadview Heights (Ohio) Medical Center will provide urgent care orthopedic services at its new on-campus orthopedic injury clinic, which is opening Nov. 1. Physicians will treat everything from sprains to anterior cruciate ligament tears. Seven attending physicians will staff the clinic.
