Washington Twp., Ohio-based Southview Medical Center plans to offer new surgical procedures through an $8 million expansion, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Operated by Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network, the hospital will add two operating rooms to accommodate multiple specialties, including orthopedics, women's health and general surgery. Each OR will occupy 700 square feet.

The project will add a total of 5,000 square feet to the hospital, with an anticipated completion date of April 2020.

A response to changing industry dynamics, the expansion will "give surgeons the flexibility they need in performing specialized and minimally invasive procedures," Southview Medical Center President Richard Manchur told Dayton Daily News.
