Brian Schulz, MD, performed knee surgery on Brock McGinn, a winger for the Anaheim Ducks, in Los Angeles.
The procedure was an ACL reconstruction surgery, according to a Jan. 21 news release from the team.
Mr. McGinn suffered the injury during a Dec. 23 game after a collision along the boards. He is expected to be out for about seven to nine months.
Dr. Schulz is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He serves as a team physician for the Ducks and the head orthopedic surgeon for the Los Angeles Angels.
