Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has earned The Joint Commission's Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement, according to a March 28 email sent to Becker's.
This is the first time the hospital has received recognition from The Joint Commission. The certification is offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Joint Replacement Registry.
To earn certification, orthopedic programs must undergo an onsite review that includes an examination of patient outcomes, patient and team member interviews, practice and policy reviews, and patient safety processes.
