PrecisionOS debuts VR training for orthopedic residency students

Orthopedic

Medical education provider PrecisionOS has debuted a new virtual reality-based curriculum for training orthopedic residency students.

The curriculum was compiled using input from surgeons and educators, and will support skill acquisition and benchmark training for students.

The program allows residents to experience immersive surgical procedure simulations. It follows framework set by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

The new curriculum is available for all students in North America, and is currently used by around 60 residency and fellowship programs, according to a March 7 press release.
