Peter Millett, MD, is scheduled to perform shoulder surgery on professional hockey player Arber Xhekaj, a defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens, this week, according to a Feb. 25 report by The Athletic.

Mr. Xhekaj suffered an injury to his right shoulder during a fight in a game on Feb. 12 and has not played since.

The surgery will take place in Denver with Dr. Millett, who specializes in shoulder surgery and sports medicine. He is also a consultant for the National Hockey League Players' Association and Major League Baseball Players' Association.

This is the second Montreal Canadien Dr. Millett will operate on this season, after he also performed surgery on Cole Caufield's right shoulder on Feb. 1.
