Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker was hit with a fine of $13,261 after shoving a physician from the Detroit Lions, espn.com reported Jan. 14.

The incident occurred during the teams' regular-season finale Jan. 8. In addition to the fine, Mr. Walker was ejected from the game.

While two Lions staff members were checking on an injury to Detroit running back D’Andre Swift, team physician Sean Lynch, MD, used his hand to move Mr. Walker away to allow for more space. After being moved back, Mr. Walker shoved Lynch from behind, resulting in the ejection.

Mr. Walker apologized for the incident Jan. 9 and said he spoke to Dr. Lynch directly, according to the report.
