Multiple specialty orthopedic hospitals have plans to open in the next few years, and the sum of these projects is about $506 million.
1. UAMS Orthopaedic & Spine hospital in Little Rock, Ark., is constructing a 158,000-square-foot musculoskeletal hospital, which will cost $68.5 million. It is expected to open in March.
2. Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health and New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C., will break ground on a $210 million orthopedic hospital in 2022 and aims to open in 2024.
3. The opening of Centura Health's hospital under construction in Colorado Springs, Colo., will be in July 2023. The project costs almost $170 million.
4. Parkview Health System's planned orthopedic hospital in Pueblo, Colo., is set to open by early September. The project costs $58 million.
