Practice Management

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford is expanding its surgical department to capture more complex spine and brain cases, Fort Worth Business Press reported Nov. 10.

Almost 5,000 square feet will be added to the surgical department.

The hospital has eight operating rooms, which will each increase from 500 square feet to 720 square feet. Two ORs are used for orthopedic surgery, two others are used for robotic surgery and three are neuro-focused.

Spinal neurosurgeon Rob Hruska, MD, recently joined the hospital. He is a physician with North Texas Neurosurgical and Spine Center in Fort Worth.
