A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Great Lakes Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Grand Traverse County, Mich., reports NBC affiliate Up North Live.
Medical director of GLOSC, Vincent Prusick, MD, said the center will help the physicians involved become more competitive in the region and meet the demands of the aging population that are more likely to need orthopedic services.
Construction is set for completion by November and the center is aiming to open before the holidays.
