Tyber Medical's $3.8M expansion to increase spine, orthopedic manufacturing speed and add 30 jobs

Tyber Medical is adding a second building in a $3.8 million project at its Bethlehem, Pa.-based manufacturing facility, reports Lehigh Valley Live.

Four things to know:

1. Tyber develops spine and orthopedic implants for companies that sell directly to hospitals and physicians.

2. The new 35,000-square-foot facility will allow for 30 engineering jobs in addition to the current staff of 86.

3. Tyber is also installing new manufacturing equipment that will enable orthopedic devices to enter the market within four months.

4. The company commercialized 18 spine devices and 33 trauma/extremity systems since it was founded in 2012.
