TeDan Surgical unveils spinal stabilization for lumbar spine — 3 insights

TeDan Surgical Innovations recently launched its UltraFix spinal stabilization device, reports Mass Device.

Three insights:

1. UltraFix aims to provide integrated lateral access to the lumbar spine, affording surgeons uninterrupted focus in the OR.

2. The device is part of the company's Phantom XL3 lateral lumbar surgical access system, which fuses a mechanical fixation arm with retraction technology to develop a solution to surgical access for implants.

3. Phantom XL3 features a radiolucent retraction blade configuration with pivoting capability, a cold-LED illumination system and neuromonitoring dilation package to enable circumferential trans-psoas navigation.
