Power T Handle used in 500 spine procedures

Spinal Tech

Surgical instrument company Power T Handle said its device has been used in 500 procedures since launching in July 2018.

UC San Francisco's Christopher Ames, MD, completed the 500th procedure with Power T Handle. Surgeons can use the handle to reduce surgical fatigue and improve operating room efficiency.

The device notably preserves tactile feel and the manual capabilities associated with traditional "T" handled devices.

Power T Handle founder Kevin Cahill, MD, PhD, said: "Achieving this important milestone cements the demand for the Power T Handle in surgery as it allows surgeons to be more efficient while also protecting them from repetitive use injuries."
