Wyoming hospital installs ExcelsiusGPS: 3 things to know

Sheridan (Wyo.) Memorial Hospital installed Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS for minimally invasive spine surgery, according to the Wyoming Business Report.

Here are three things to know:

1. Sheridan is the 20th U.S. hospital to install the robotic guidance system.

2. The ExcelsiusGPS system is designed to allow surgeons to use a muscle-sparing technique with greater screw placement accuracy.

3. Board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon James A. Ulibarri, MD, is among the surgeons who will perform MIS surgery using the system. will perform MIS using the ExcelsiusGPS at Sheridan.
