Carestream DRX Core detector to be used at 2018 NFL Scouting Combine: 3 insights

Imaging

A Carestream DRX Core detector will be used at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Here are three things to know.

1. At the combine, top college football players demonstrate their skill and undergo comprehensive physical evaluations, which include X-ray examinations. NFL coaches, general managers and scouts preparing to draft new players will evaluate more than 300 top prospects at this year's combine between Feb. 27 and March 5.

2. Carestream products have been used at the NFL Combine for seven consecutive years with Carestream DRX-Ascend and Carestream Q-Rad X-ray systems. The DRX detector is designed to convert existing X-ray rooms and mobile units to the speed of full digital X-ray imaging in less than four hours.

3. Most recently, Carestream added a cone beam CT imaging system to their portfolio. The CBCT system produces medical images for use in diagnosing conditions and injuries in professional and recreational athletes.
