6 regenerative products launched, FDA cleared in 2022

Several orthopedic regenerative products have been released or FDA approved in 2022.

1. Bone Solutions, an orthopedic devicemaker, launched the Mg Osteoinject bone void filler. It is the first injectable bone void filler in the U.S. to incorporate magnesium and is designed to treat insufficiency and microfractures.

2. Theradaptive's OsteoAdapt SP spinal implant received its second FDA breakthrough designation for posterolateral spinal fusion. The device was indicated to treat degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis or retrolisthesis.

3. Orthofix's Opus BA bioactive strip was fully launched for cervical and lumbar spinal fusion. It is a synthetic bioactive bone graft that acts as a scaffold to allow bone growth.

4. Kuros Biosciences' MagenetOs Flex Matrix was cleared by the FDA for use as a bone void filler in the posterolateral spine.

5. Kuros Biosciences launched the MagnetOs Easypack Putty in the U.S. It is designed for packing into voids during spinal fusions.

6. Bonesupport's Cerament G, an injectable combination antibiotic bone graft substitute, earned FDA market authorization. Cerament G is the first injectable of its kind and can be delivered in a single procedure to support bone remodeling and protect bone healing.
