Medtronic launches demineralized bone matrix for spine, orthopedics in Japan – 5 key notes

Medtronic launched Grafton Demineralized Bone Matrix for spine and orthopedic procedures in Japan.

 

Five things to know:

1. Grafton DBM is the only demineralized bone matrix product in Japan. It received PMDA approval in August 2018.

2. The product is a bone graft extender, bone graft substitute and bone void filler for the musculoskeletal system. Surgeons can use it during a variety of orthopedic and spine procedures.

3. Based on Medtronic's data on file, Grafton scores high in osteoinductivity and has more than 25 years of clinical history.

4. Worldwide, Grafton has been used in more than 1.5 million procedures and is already available in the U.S., Korea, Australia, Latin America, the Middle East and parts of Europe.

5. The product launch in Japan includes Grafton Putty, Grafton Matrix and Grafton Matrix Strip.
